From HD lenses or progressives, polarized sun lenses or photochromatic—the right prescription lens can have a huge impact on how well your eyeglasses and sunglasses work for you. Make the best choice by considering the way you see, the things you do, and how you live.

SINGLE VISION LENSES

Single Vision lenses correct a single view area. They have the same focal power throughout it, and can be used to correct farsightedness, nearsightedness, or astigmatism. Single Vision lenses are convex for intermediate vision or reading. Concave lenses are used to correct distance. Single Vision lenses come in a variety of materials, ranging from Polycarbonate, High Index, Trivex, and Plastic CR39.

A Progressive Lens allows multiple vision fields in one smooth lens for a uniform look. Progressive lenses allow you to see clearly from near and far with one pair of glasses. With Progressive Lenses all you need to do is adjust the position of your head to see various ranges of distances. Progressive Lenses are also referred to as no-line bifocals or trifocals.

PROGRESSIVE LENSES

Bifocal and Trifocal lenses contain two or more distinct lens powers to help you see multiple distances. Bifocal lenses are used to help people correct their distance and near vision. Trifocal lenses are used to help people correct their distance, intermediate, and near vision. Both Bifocal and Trifocal lenses are typically prescribed to people over the age of 40, but Trifocal  lenses are quickly being replaced by progressive lenses.
